Arriva is one of the three largest bus operators in the Netherlands, with approximately 12 per cent of the regional bus market.
We operate both bus and rail services in the north of the country and in the area around Rotterdam.
The rail market is dominated by state-owned NS Rail, and Arriva is the largest private rail operator in the Netherlands.
Our growth in the Netherlands
Arriva wins two new major bus contracts and retains contract to operate bus services on the island of Schiermonnikoog. Arriva wins the Achterhoek Rivierenland bus and rail tender in Gelderland, Netherlands. Bus operations begin in 2010 and train operations begin in 2012.
