Arriva names new managing director for Arriva Yorkshire

Leading UK bus operator Arriva today announced the appointment of Nigel Featham as managing director of its Wakefield-based Arriva Yorkshire business.
Nigel joins the group from Warrington Borough Transport where he has successfully led the business as managing director for almost nine years. Prior to that Nigel was operations director at Preston Bus Ltd, and has a depth of knowledge and experience of the transport industry.
Mike Cooper, managing director – Arriva UK Regions, said: “I’m confident that in his new role Nigel will provide strong strategic leadership for Arriva’s business in Yorkshire, combined with a well balanced hands-on approach.
“I would also like to formally thank the senior team at Arriva Yorkshire who have successfully managed the business in the absence of a managing director over the last six months.”
Nigel takes up his new role at Arriva Yorkshire on 19 May.
