Arriva scoops regional award for best annual report
26 November 2007
Leading transport group Arriva has come top of the Northern class with most recent annual report.
Communicators in Business (CiB), the UK's leading professional body for internal and corporate communications specialists, named Arriva’s report as ‘best in class’ at their Northern Region Awards ceremony at the National Media Museum in Bradford.
Judges were won over by the report’s modern design, easy to read text, and colourful use of imagery to capture the feeling of movement associated with travel, as well as Arriva’s rapid growth across the European transport market.
They commented that the publication suggests a company that ‘invests in quality’, praising the high production values.
Simon Craven, Arriva’s communications director, said: “An annual report is far more than a set of numbers. When we get it right, it portrays the whole character of the business, painting pictures and telling stories which capture the imagination of customers and business partners as well as our regulators and investors. This award recognises the efforts of everyone who works for Arriva in giving us good stories to tell.
“In addition to bringing pre-Christmas smiles to a hard-working in-house communications team it is also a tribute to the design expertise contributed by leading creative agency Robson Brown, with whom we are already hard at work on next year’s report.”
