New appointment at Arriva Scotland West

Arriva UK Regions has appointed Liz Esnouf as the new director and general manager of Arriva Scotland West.
Liz joined Arriva in 2003 as commercial director at Arriva North East. Her previous role was as business development manager at Blackpool Transport Services. She has had a wide and varied career working in museums, further education and transport.
In her new role, she will report directly to Mike Cooper , managing director of Arriva UK Regions. She will assume both financial and operational accountability for Arriva Scotland West from January 2007 and will focus on the strategic direction of the business.
Liz will also retain commercial accountabilities at Arriva North East, working closely with the business's area managers.

We have a great team at Arriva Scotland West and it is a good business. A new focus on its future will help to drive it forward to even better serve its customers. I look forward to establishing good relationships with the local authorities, residents, bus users and other stakeholders in the area.
