Bus company promises buggy-friendly buses or next journey for free
Arriva the Shires and Essex have re-launched Hemel Town services 2 & 3 and 4 & 5 promising customers that all buses used on these services will be easy access - or the next journey will be free.
Commercial director, Brian Drury, said:
Easy access buses are ideal for parents with kids in buggies, the less mobile and people with heavy shopping. To coincide with the opening of the new Riverside development we're making a commitment that all buses on town services 2, 3, 4 and 5 will be low floor. If they're not, customers can give our customer services team a call on 08701 201088 and we'll happily organise sending out a free journey voucher for their next trip.
In an attempt to make using the services as easy as possible for new customers the vehicles have also been colour coded - with route details clearly shown on the outside of buses.
Services 2 and 3 will be known as Red Line and will offer a 10-minute daytime frequency from Woodhall Farm, Grovehill, Highfield, Gadbridge, Warners End and Chaulden to the town centre Monday to Friday and a 15-minute service on Saturdays.
Services 4 and 5 will be known as Blue Line and will offer a 15-minute daytime frequency from Grovehill, Highfield and Bennets End and the town centre.
Mr Drury added:
With super low floor buses, high frequency turn up and go services and even a special bus link through to the new shopping development using the bus will be a breeze.
