Arriva and Thurrock council sign up to making bus travel better in Thurrock

27 September 2005

Launched today Thurrock Council and Arriva have signed up to a Quality Bus Partnership.

The partnership will strengthen the liaison between the two organisations and will see improvements to the quality of the services with more timetable information, better facilities at bus stops and minimising of delays to buses. The focus will be on the 377 and 383 routes between Tilbury, Chadwell St Mary, Grays town centre and Lakeside .

The launch was followed by a journey on a bus over the routes looking closely at the features that need to be improved.

Malcolm Spalding Commercial Manager for Arriva Southern Counties said:

We very much welcome this partnership with Thurrock Council. We already have a good relationship with the council and the partnership will bring a focus to the work needed to make improvements for existing and future bus users.
