More night services on Greenline 757 bring a truly 24-hour service for holidaymakers, business customers and airport employees

5 January 2005

The blue ribbon coach service Green Line 757 operated by Arriva the Shires and Essex between Luton, London Luton Airport and central London is set to get a real boost from 23 January 2005 when evening service levels double between 8pm and midnight.

Between 8pm and midnight from there will now be two journeys per hour plus extra night journeys at 1.30am from London Luton Airport and departures from Victoria in central London at 3.30am and 4.05am.

Commenting commercial director, Brian Drury, said:

The volume of flights at London Luton Airport is increasing and we want to make sure that we offer a truly 24-hour service allowing people the opportunity to use the Green Line service to connect with early morning flights and for workers to commute between Luton and London.

In addition, late evening journeys will no longer detour to Wigmore Lane ASDA making the journey between London and the airport more direct.

Departures from the airport will be timed at the easy to remember intervals of '00, '30 and '40 minutes past the hour.

Details of the improved Green Line 757 service are available at www.greenline.co.uk or www.arrivabus.co.uk .
