Arriva enters into conditional agreement to buy the Stevenage and Hatfield operations of sovereign bus & coach company limited

Arriva The Shires Ltd, part of the Arriva plc transport group, has entered into a conditional contract for the acquisition of the Stevenage and Hatfield operations of Sovereign Bus & Coach Company Limited. The company has 45 buses, 133 employees and depots in Stevenage and Hatfield. It operates commercial and tendered services in and around the Stevenage area and also operates interurban services linking Stevenage, Hitchin, Hatfield, Welwyn Garden City, St Albans and Hemel Hempstead . The acquisition is conditional on clearance by the UK regulatory authorities.
