Arriva north east delighted to be supporting great north ambulance’s great work
20 August 2003
The Great North Air Ambulance has launched a fundraising campaign aimed at encouraging people to contribute just £2 a week to support the air ambulance services based on Teesside and at Blyth, and to try to raise enough funds to start a new service based at Cumbria .
Arriva is supporting their campaign through providing free poster sites on the inside of all buses and through carrying stocks of leaflets detailing how to set up a fundraising gift, at each of its travel centres. In addition, employees are being asked to think about donating the proceeds of any fundraising activities to the air ambulance service.
Steve Noble, managing director for Arriva North East said:
Arriva is always keen to work with the local communities that we serve. The Great North Air Ambulance service does such sterling work both treating the injured and ensuring they receive timely hospital care that we were delighted to be able to support them by promoting their £2 a week fundraising campaign.
