Arriva offers £8,000 to be won each year until 2008

Arriva North West and Wales is celebrating Liverpool's European Capital of Culture success by launching a £2,008 quarterly prize draw on 20 August 2003, the official launch of the city's campaign to make its tenure the best Capital of Culture Year ever.
To enter, all Arriva bus customers need to do is check their ticket, and if bears the serial number 2008, send it with their name and address to Arriva 2008 Draw, 73 Ormskirk Road, Aintree, Liverpool L9 5AE. One ticket will then be drawn at random from all those received by 20 November - and the winner will receive a cool £2,008 cash prize ! Further draws will take place every three months until 20 August 2008.
Arriva North West and Wales 's commercial manager, Derek Bowes, said of the draw:
As the largest bus company in Liverpool we wanted to show our support for the city as European Capital of Culture 2008. By offering this prize draw we are reminding our customers of the activities going on around European Capital of Culture 2008. And of course, for four customers a year there's the added bonus of £2,008 to spend!
The programme for the special date in Liverpool 's cultural calendar continues to grow. Tourism and culture organisations throughout the city will be slashing prices, staging special events and even opening doors for free.
Liverpool City Council creative director, Sue Woodward, said:
The launch of Arriva's £2,008 prize draw on 20/08 is just the ticket for the city's cultural celebrations!
It's yet another fantastic boost for the special date in our cultural calendar. Scores of organisations throughout Liverpool are playing their part, and it's shaping up to be a truly special occasion.
