Rainbow’s walk of life gets a helping hand from Arriva midlands

3 June 2003

Arriva Midlands is supplying two buses to transport walkers who are taking part in the Red Shoes Walk of Life, on Sunday 8 June 2003 in order to raise funds for Rainbows Childrens' Hospice

It is hoped that the walk will raise much-needed funds and increase awareness of the charity's work. Arriva Midlands's role is to support the fundraisers while they complete the exhausting 15-mile walk throughout the County.

Event co-ordinator Sarah Staines said:

Rainbows is now almost nine years old and this year we have to raise £1.6 million. As we continue to develop, to meet the needs of so many children and their families the financial pressure is as great as ever. This event is so important to all at Rainbows.

Keith Myatt, press and publicity manager for Arriva Midlands said:

We are delighted to be able to support the Rainbows Charity and the good work that they do.
