Bus operator Arriva derby invests in super low floor buses for Oakwood routes 22, 24 and 26

Arriva Derby is pleased to announce the introduction of eight new super low floor easy access buses onto Oakwood routes 22, 24 and 26. As well as being more easily accessible for wheelchair users and parents with buggies, the buses feature CCTV cameras to give customers an added feeling of security.
Phil Booker, commercial director for Arriva Derby said:
Arriva Derby has already made a substantial investment in new, easy access buses for services in Derby and this latest purchase of new fleet brings the figure up to £1.2 million. It is very important to us that customers are not only able to travel safely but that they have an increased level of comfort and even more confidence in the service they receive. Our programme of continuing investments in new fleet will help us to achieve this.
The new double deck buses are due to start operating on routes 22, 24 and 26 from early March 2003.
