Arriva London Heritage Fleet

There are few times in our lives when we have the opportunity to see something of history being preserved for our own sakes.

The desire to preserve a relationship usually occurs only when it would appear that we are about to lose the very thing we cherish.

During its life, as a mode of transport for millions of people in London, the Routemaster bus established itself in that mode, an item to be cherished a relationship to be preserved.

In the autumn of 2005 the Routemaster was taken out of general service, and many believed that the end of an era had come.

Fortunately for everyone, Arriva, one of the major users of the Routemaster, decided otherwise, and with that decision The Arriva Heritage Fleet was born.

The decision by Arriva was to select from their fleet, some of the very special models they owned, and maintain and restore them for use in the future. Specials like the Gold RM6, used in the Queen's Golden Jubilee celebrations, RM 2217 the last Routemaster run on route 159 on the very last day of passenger service and open top RMC 1464 that has taken part in many celebration parades.

The Arriva Heritage Fleet is now fully operational, and is being successfully used as a Premium attraction at Corporate events and promotions, for Personalised special celebrations and as an educational resource for everyone.

If you feel that we can be of assistance to you, with our tailor made service for Corporate and personal celebrations, please call us on 0208 271 3411 or visit our website at www.theheritagefleet.com and choose the special vehicles to suit you.
